About a week and a half to go!

Hey Everyone!!!

So i began writing a post on Monday morning, but i was rushed to leave and catch my ferry, so i just stopped. Anyways, so i have 11 days left!! It's soo exciting. I drove past the airport yesterday and saw a West Jet A20 taking off and got really excited and nervous. All the dumb 'what-ifs' are popping in my head. I'm trying my best to ignore them, but it's hard.
So i'm pretty much all packed, my room is nearly there too. (I'm not planning on staying here for very long when i come back). I scanned all my ID's, Visa is here, flight is booked, insurance is payed for. I'm set!! I just have to play the waiting game now. This week hasn't been too bad actually. I took Connor out of school on Monday and spent most of the day with him and Alex, and then spent the evening with Hollie. Tuesday i went to Vancouver for the day and visited Nikki, Amanda, Brenda, Marty, Sharron, and Emily! It was a lot of fun. Wednesday (today) I had lunch with Mrs. Hoffman, which was nice to see her before i leave! And then spent the rest of the day with Alex. Tomorrow i work 2-8. Friday i work 10-6. Saturday i work 1-6 and i'm done at The Bay!! Last day. I can't believe it!! I'm going to really miss everyone there, and even the annoying things like getting Instant Credits (Opening credit cards) and the annoying customers. And then on Sunday i'm having a good-bye lunch with my Dad & Grandma (they're coming to the airport with me) so that will be nice..and then in the evening i'm having a family dinner(mom's side). Norma, Tom, Sandi, Alex, Connor, and Mom will be there, and it's going to be Easter dinner, Tom's Birthday, and my going away dinner all in one. Should be interesting!
Ohh and last weekend i had a fun night out with some of my friends. It was a sorta goodbye thing, but not really. We went out for dinner at Earls and then came back to my place and drank. I didn't drink too much because i worked the next day, but Danielle, Greg and Alex were sooo drunk! It was quite funny, actually!
Desiree notified me this morning about all the termination they've been doing lately for underage drinking, so i'm definatly not going to risk it down there. I have a whole life time to drink, and this is kind of a once in a life time opprotunity!
I'm sorry i don't have much to report on. My next post will be the day before i leave i think. I have no other reason to come on here until then. Nothng new to report!!
So hopfully this next week and a half goes by fast! (Unlikely!)
I should probably go. LOST is coming on soon!!! I still can't believe i'm missing the Season Finalie! :(
But i know Craig and Cale are big fans too, so we might have a LOST party or something and watch it. Hope so!! If not, i'll find some way to see it at some point.

Three weeks to go!

Hey Everyone!!


So yes, only 3 more weeks until i'm on my way to Disneyworld!!
My weeks are crazy now. Like i have soo much to do, but i can't do much until my last week and a half. Next Sunday i'm doing a packing test-run, so i'm going to back up everything as if i were leave tomorrow, and i mean EVERYTHING!! Haha i'm going to the extent of packing up my make-up, laptop, linens, all my shoes, clothes, toothbrush, hairbrush and my pictures!!
It's a way to keep me kind of sane. Like i'm not going to be packing everything until maybe the 18th, just because i don't want to pack everything up and then be ohh i want to use this or this. lol. So if i do a test run i'll know everything, exactly! haha

So good news!! I got my VISA at the beginning of th week! I can offically work in America!
And for those of you who don't know... my VISA is not a VISA credit card, it's a work VISA. It's a silly slip of paper that goes in my passport that says i'm legally allowed to work in America. :)
I know a lot of my friends thought it was a credit card, so i was just clarifiying!
So normally, my weeks go by pretty fast. I start out on Monday, usually hang out with friends/ clean, sleep in until i go to Figure Skating, and then i hang out with Hollie and go to the gym later in the evening. I basically do that until Thursday. So i kill time until then and then i work Thurs-Sun, usually going out with friends after works and doing things. That's my typical week, it for the most part it goes by fast because i'm not sitting there thinking about each day and just wanting it to end!! But now, it's the only thing i'm doing. It's going by ridicilously slow!!!! Grr! Slowest 3 weeks of my life, i swear! But i think i just need to get through the next week and a half, and then all hell will break loose!! =)
I need to get my medical insurance though!!! Friday, i think i'm doing that and paying my Registration fee for the program. Soo i think it's going to be good. DOn't have very many parties planned. Most of my friends don't seem like they really care that i'm leaving for a year, but i don't even care anymore. I have one really good friend who's getting so stressed and upset about me leaving, and i appreciate every second of it!!
On a different note, my last day at The Bay is on the 11th!! So excited to get out of there!!!
I'm going to miss everyone so much though!! BUt like i said, it's going to be so nice to get out of there and hopfuly in Florida, i'll maybe get a Saturday or Sunday off!!! Will be nice!
So i think that's really it! I should get some sleep anyways. It's 2am and i have to be at work for 11:30am tomorrow. HAHA

Soo i guess goodnight,
and i'm going to try and wait until 1 week prior departure before i post in here again, although i can't promise anything if i get bored or something really exciting happens!
It'll be crazy, the next time i write in here, almost everyone will have my blog URL!!!!

I cannot sleep!

Hey Everyone!

So i cannot get to sleep to save my life! I slept in until 12:30pm yesterday, so that's probably why. So i have 1 month to go! I can hardly wait! Like all that's going through my head is, 2 weeks from now, i'll have 2 weeks left! Crazy! Sophie and Graeme and I are meeting by the baggage claim on the 21st. I need to actually remember what time they're arriving at. I ask them maybe once a week, and i've yet to remember, but it's not too long after i touch down. I'm hoping Ana will arrive close to the same time so we can arrive at Vista together. She's pretty cool! I hope we stay close when we're down there.
So, still no visa package. But it should be coming this week. If i don't get it by Friday i'll E-mail Kristen to see what's up. It's not a big rush, but i just want it!!
So i'm exciting news, i'm going to Seattle this weekend with my mom, Sandi, and Alex. It was pretty random. Last Friday i was out for dinner with them, and we were discussing how we should take a trip up to Parksville for a weekend before i move off, and then somewhere it ended up being Seattle! So that'll be really fun! I havn't been there in a while!

Some other really good news is, i have a plan for after Orlando. Mrs. Hoffman kept bugging me about how i needed to figure something out, but didn't think it was really necessary because i would probably change my mind. So i'm scatching getting a degree in Psychology. ( I was trying to avoid doing math 12) I was seaching online at the different Universities & Colleges in Canada and came across this program at University of Waterloo. It's a Geography and Avaition. I didn't even know this existed. I came across of it while i was looking up the admission requirements for their Psych BA program. I'm pretty excited about it. I e-mailed the lady who's head of this particular program and asked if my upgraded English at Camosun would be okay. The only thing is they'd perfer highish 70's% but i got low.. lol. We'll see. So it's 4 year Bachelor Program. It's expensive though. I think i summed it up to $35,000 in tuition, and then the flight program part was $60,000 over the span of 3 years. So i'm going to be in a lot of debt. But hey, pilot's make lots of money! I'm really excited to share this with everyone. I also like that it's in Ontario. I'm very far away from my life in Victoria! Get a chance to start my own new life there.

So there's not very much to say regrading Disney. I started going through some things tonight, actually a lot of things from the end of High School, which was sad obviously. Next week i might try tackling my clothes and organize what i'm taking. I know my last couple weeks are going to be crazy, so the more i get done now, the better. I'm starting to get really close with Daniel, Ana, Graeme, and Alwyn. Haha, i text all of them ALL the time. It's bad!
Ohh Poldi, a german friend of mine who's already down there told me last Friday 8 cast members were terminated for underage drinking. There was a suprise inspection. I'm hoping one of them was Canadian, just so it gives Robin a chance to get in!!! We'll see.
I've begun planning my two major going away parties. I have one with my friends that i see everyday, that's on April 17th. I think we're going out for dinner at Milestones and then going back to my place to drink and party and just have a good time. There will be TONS of pictures taken! haha
And then i'm having my Bay party! It's just a dinner, but there's about 13 of us all going. I'm really excited about this, because Hazel, Benet, and Sarah are going, and i don't work with them anymore.
Anyways, i should probably get going. I'm still not tired and it's 4:16am. Haha - I'm thinking about going to the gym atound 6am, if i don't crash!

If i get my package tomorrow or later in the week i'll blog and let you know what's in it!!

A month and a half to go!

Hey Everyone!

So, yeah i leave in about a month and a half. I'm getting more and more excited everyday!
There's stil no word on my visa. First Kristen said 2 weeks like a month ago, and then she said a month before i leave, and now it might be a couple weeks before i leave. Who knows? But with the visa comes another information package. I think it's just more detailed.

There's nothing really to update. I've begun planning out my Goodbye parties. I'm also going to Vancouver in two weeks to see my cousins, aunt and uncles. I usually see them once a year during Thanksgiving, but i wont be here, so i'd like to see them! I'm just going over for the day, nothing big. lol
Let's see, oh yeah and with The Bay, i'm having a goodbye dinner. It's at Moxies on April 14th.
I'm really excited for that!! I'm inviting Robin, Rose, Eva, Hazel, Rolly, Kelly, Ericka, Shaddie, Benet, and Sarah. I think that all of them. :) Should be a lot of fun.
And of course i'm going to have a party with my family. Well, at least i hope so.
I'm pretty tired, so i'm going to head off to bed.
I thought i'd just post in here for a quick update. I'm really hoping i get my Visa Package this week, so if i do i will deffinatly post a blog and update y'all with all the wonderful information!

Chasing Satellites

Hey Everyone!!

So yeah, like the title says, i don't know if i can take it. Disneyworld is the only thing on my mind, and i find that i'm spending most of my time talking to all my new friends that are already down there or are going after/before i arrive. Krystal, Alwyn, Daniel, Ana, Sophie, Graeme, umm, oh yeah, Craig, Cale, Melanie, Jessica, Chelsea, and soo many more that i'm sure i've forgotten about. I thought i'd post some pictures of what my costume will look like (i'm trying really hard to start using the Disney terminology, for example: Uniform- Costume, Job- Role, People- Guests ) .

So what do you all think? lol I know, could they be any more Canadian, eh? LOL

So we're reaching 52 Days on my countdown. I'm actually watching a different Disney movie now everyday, prior to my departure. Tonight has been Lady & The Tramp! =D

So on another good note, my flight was offically booked last week! I sent my travel information to Kristen, and she phoned Disney for me and told them. She said all i need now is my insurance and my visa stuff should be arriving in the mail any week now. You should see me every morning, checking the mail. Hoping my visa applications has arrived. Trust me, i'll let you know as soon as i know! HaHa. Also, some other good news is, Craig has arrived in Florida to start his year long journey. He arrived on February 17th. He loves it so far! I havn't been able to talk to him that much because he's so busy with training, but his blog is good! I think today was his first ACTUAL day of work. lol I've come to the conclusion that this year is going to seriously be one big party! Like every picture i see is them having so much fun and enjoying themselves! I cannot wait!

I keep rambling on..but i'm just so damn excited. It's starting to hit me just a little that i'm leaving, and i think my friends are starting to figure it out. Ashley told me everytime she thinks about it she wants to cry. Hollie is stressing, but i think they'll all be fine. So coming to the airport is: Mom, Sandi, Alex, Connor, Harry, Dad, Grandma, and Ashley. If anyone else wants to come, the more the marrier (sp?). I think what i'm most eager about (aside from having full access to ALL the parks) is all the people i'm going to meet. Like i've made such good friends already, and i'm not even there. Ana, Sophie, Aaron, Graeme, Alex, and Edward all arrive on the same day. Kristen e-mailed me with some others, but when i e-mailed them, they didn't seem all that friendly. Oh well. Graeme and Sophie are on the same flight, and i arrive about an hour adead of them, so i'm just waiting and we're taking the MEARS shuttle transportation together. I really hope Ana arrives around the same time too! She's so nice! She's been there before and we've been talking so much lately!
Well, i should really stop rambling on. I need to find sometime really productive to do for the next month!!!

2 months to go!!

Hey Everyone!


So, i have two months to go! Exactly, well about one hour and 48 minutes off, but who's counting? lol
I'm getting even more excited now! Craig is already down there ( he arrived last Tuesday). He's having a blast already, i can't wait. 59 dayssssss!! :)
So what i have left to do: Book my flight, which i'm hopfully doing tonight. ( I was a tad short of my paycheque, so i'm trying to figure things out) . The flight i'll be booking leaves Victoria at 8:00pm SHARP! lol. It should be good. I land in Calgary just before midnight (i believe), wait 45 minutes, land in Toronto at about 6:14am (yikess!!), kill time at the airport until 10:34am, and fly to Orlando from there. I'll be landing in Orlando at 1:19pm!!!! I'm going to be soo exhausted, but i want to arrive at Disney with lots of time in the day to do things! Not like at 10:30pm! lol
So that's my flight. I also need to get insurance for my first 4 months, well basically until August 1st.
Kristen (my recruitter) e-mailed me and told me she's sending out my visa applications and petitions. So that will be coming in the next couple weeks, i presume. Other then that, that's it! lol
I've brought my suitcases into my room already. I'm just tryng to figure out what i can take/what will fit and such.
These next two months are going to just FLY by!! Believe me. lol
Still, no one is going to be reading this, at least until two weeks before my departure.
Well, i guess that's it. I'm going to try resist posting in here until my 1 month, but who knows.

Preparing for the magical year!

Hey Everyone!

So i guess i lied. I wasn't going to post until the night before, but i thought it would be nice to share some of my excitment of my pre arrival. So i have approximatly 78 days until i leave. I'm soo excited! I recieved my offer letter and two packages. Inside were some forms that i had to sign and fax off to Disney, and then there were some letter welcoming me, telling me all about the program, and telling me what i need to do before i arrive. i faxed off the forms, i had a criminal record check done, and it was faxed off. I only have to book my flight, call Disney to let them know what time i'm arriving in Orlando, apply for my Q1 Visa (which comes in the mail one month prior to my departure) and of course make packing lists and pack! It's starting to creep up on me really fast!
I'm talking to a lot of people down there already and people that were at my interviews that got accepted. I'm still waiting to here from Robin; I know she's going to get accepted. She was the girl i had no idea was on the same flight there and then when we met, we decided to fly back together. She was put on the waiting list with me, but she hasn't had the call yet. There's a girl named Krystal down there right now, who i think is pretty cool! She does video blogs every week or so, and they're all pretty entertaining. Unfortunatly, she wont be down there when i'm there. I think she leaves sometime in late February or March. Another person i'm talking to is Craig. He was at my interviews in Toronto (most of you know i didn't get to do much socializing at the interviews, due to missing the dinner the night before - late flight). Anyways, he's really nice and he leaves in like two weeks! Soo lucky! haha, but i'll be there soon.
What else, i don't think there's much else to say, other than how excited i am.
I guess that's it for now. I might post sometime in early April, if not then the night before i leave.
I wont be giving out the link to this until i say my final goodbyes to you, so hopfully you don't forget it!
